Khartoum- President of the Republic and Chairman of the Higher Leadership Council of the Sudanese Islamic Movement Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir has affirmed that the
state is heading now for radical solutions to the problems of the Sudanese economy through increase of production and productivity, enhancing exports, expanding agricultural schemes of modern irrigation systems and developing animal resources.
President Al Bahir was addressing the concluding sitting of the National Shura Council of the Islamic Movement in its 13th. Session Friday, with the attendance of Secretary General of the Movement Sheikh Al-Zubair Ahmed Al-Hassan and its leaderships in the center and the states.
Al Bashir called for giving more places to the youth in the Islamic Movement and the National Congress, saying that the future of the Sudan would by shaped by the youths, stressing the importance of heading towards the grassroots to extend social and cultural support to the various sectors of the people at their places.
Secretary General of the Sudanese Islamic Movement Sheikh Al-Zubair Ahmed Al Hassan, on his part, affirmed that the movement has practiced great Shura in the last period among the leaderships and grassroots in implementation of the decisions of the Shura Council for conducting Shura with members of the movement to consider its future, reviewing the organizational performance of the movement for the first quarter of the current year.
The Secretary General of the Islamic Movement stressed the importance of preserving the unity of the movement and the party, saying that this is among the challenges of the coming stage, reviewing the challenges facing the Islamic Nation of plotting against the nation.
Al-Hassan added that the economic blockade on Sudan was lifted partially, explaining that maintaining the name of Sudan on the American list of states sponsoring terrorism makes the country under threat of economic blockade till now, a matter that calls for self-reliance, reforming the economy, combating corruption and spreading the spirit of religious and moral responsibility.
