Khartoum - (Mona Mustafa) Arab Union for Humanitarian Action and Sustainable Development held the constituent assembly in Cairo, with the participation of 13 Arab countries and 15 Sudanese charitable organizations.
Sudan was elected as deputy head of the union, represented by Secretary General of Al-Salam Charitable Organization, Al-Safi Salem Ahmed. Sudan also won three seats in the union’s board of directors.
Al-Safi Salem told Sudan Vision that the participation of Sudan in the constituent assembly promotes Sudan’s role internationally in the area of humanitarian action.
The meeting elected Maisa Al-Hashemi, Egypt, as president, besides four deputies from Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Jordan.
