Presidency Directs Working out Plan on Requirements for Moving AJOC with all its Administrations to Abyei

Khartoum - Vice President Hassabo Mohamed Abdul Rahman has directed working out a plan to determine the requirements for moving Abyei Joint Oversight Committee (AJOC), Sudan’s side, with all its administrations to assume its works from inside the area.
This came when the Vice President received at his office in the Republican Palace yesterday Chairman of Abyei Joint Oversight Committee, Sudan’s side, Hassan Ali Nimir.
Nimir briefed the Vice President on what has been implemented of the outcome of the previous meeting, especially as regards peaceful coexistence and communal communications between the leaderships of the native administrations of Misseiriya and Denka.
Nimir said in a press statement the meeting tackled arrangements for the meeting of AJOC and the leaderships of the native administrations of the two sides, which was called for by the African Union to review the outcome of the previous meeting, convened in November 2017 in the context of the security and administrative arrangements agreement of 2011.
The meeting also discussed preparations for the coming agricultural season, he added.
