Khartoum – Ministry of Agriculture has revealed increase in the targeted cultivated area this season to reach 45 million

acres along with using the modern technology and improved seeds to upgrade the production, affirming the effective role in exchanging agricultural experiences and practices.
For his part, Minister of Agriculture and Forests, Abdul Latif Ijaimi stated to Omdurman Talk Show Programme that they set a programme to indigenize the wheat seeds to produce one million tons according to the five years programme of the government.
He announced mobilization of all the efforts of the agricultural sector to benefit from the international scientific experiments.
He called on the farmers to exert more efforts to increase the production of all the crops within the availability of the inputs.
Ijaimi affirmed that the National Agricultural Week represent an economic demonstration to display all Sudan’s agricultural inputs.
