Khartoum - Ministry of Environment, Natural Resources and Urban Development discussed with the United Nations and the UK Department for International Development
yesterday projects of adaptation with climate change.
Minister of Environment, Natural Resources and Urban Development Hassan Abdul-Gadir Hilal said the meeting discussed performance report for 2017 and the plan for 2018, where projects have been determined according to the actual needs, covering climate change, environment situation, water, natural resources and capacity building.
Minister Hilal explained in a statement to Sudan Vision that the meeting underscored approval of the plan, indicating that the budget of the project was discussed in a view to achieving maximum benefit for the environment sector in Sudan.
The Minister, reaffirming commitment of Sudan to all regional and international agreements pertinent to environment, stressed importance of confronting risks caused by climate change.
He noted that his ministry has comprehensive strategy for environment conservation in the country.
