Khartoum - The first meeting of the Legal Committee against human trafficking called for the preparation of methods of accurate technical statistics of crimes and trials, as well as laying controls of international cooperation in the prosecution of offenders and the recovery of funds and assets related to crime.
The meeting, chaired by the Attorney-General, Maulana Omer Ahmed Mohamed discussed the mandate of the committee, which includes the consideration of legislation relating to crimes of human trafficking, discrimination and illegal migration and evaluation of the national experience in dealing with crimes.
The meeting was attended by the Director General of Police, National Security and Intelligence Service, Armed Forces, Public Prosecution, Ministry of International Cooperation and the Ministry of Justice.
