Amira Al-Fadil Discusses Issue of Migrants Stranded in Libya

Khartoum - The Commissioner of Social Affairs of the African Union (AU), Amira Al-Fadil, has led a delegation of the AU and the European Union to Libya as the commissioner

has met the Tunisian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khamis Genawi, and briefed him on the steps made by the commission for resolving the issue of the migrants stranded in Libya.
The Commissioner of Social Affairs of the African Union expressed appreciation to the efforts being exerted by Tunisia towards the situations in Libya for reaching a comprehensive solution as well as for leaving its borders with Libya open despite risks.
Ms. Al-Fadil tackled during the meeting the possibility of transporting the migrants by land.
The Tunisian Minister, on his part, affirmed readiness of his country for cooperation with the AU, stressing the importance of the Libyan-Libyan solution and preserving the integrity of the Libyan territories.
