Sudan Returns Ambassador to Cairo

Khartoum - (Khalda Elyas) Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Ghariballah Khidir has said in a statement to the French news agency, AFP, that the

President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir, has instructed return of Ambassador Abdul-Mahmoud Abdul-Halim to Cairo.
The spokesman, however, indicated that the return of the ambassador to Cairo doesn’t mean that the issues for which he had been recalled are resolved, but a roadmap was mapped out for finding solutions to them in the quartet meeting which was held in Cairo early last February that brought together the ministers of foreign affairs of the two countries and heads of the Egyptian and Sudanese intelligence services.
He said that the meeting had worked out ideas for resolving the outstanding issues, saying that what is important is the implementation.
He indicated that the differences are on three issues, which are Halayeb, the Ethiopian Renaissance Dam and the media.
