Qatar Starts Implementation of Second Phase of Darfur Reconstruction

Kalimando - Qatar state has announced setting out in the second phase of the projects of redevelopment and reconstruction in Darfur as well as supporting the consultative

dialogue operation.
Qatari Ambassador to Khartoum has affirmed that measures are completed for executing ten residential complexes in the five states of Darfur after work has been completed in five complexes in the first phase.
He said his country has exerted huge efforts for final tackling of the problem in Darfur and working towards restoring development and reconstruction in cooperation with Sudan government and the international community.
The Ambassador said while addressing the consultative conference of the internal dialogue in Darfur at Kalimando in North Darfur in collaboration with the United Nations’ Developmental Programme in Darfur UNAMID that the consultative dialogue is one of the gains of Doha Document and it targets the civilian communities and the native administration for involving it in implementing peace and security.
Meanwhile the European Union Ambassador to Khartoum has affirmed the Union’s support to development and reconstruction in Darfur and all over Sudan stressing the Union’s endeavors for supporting the national dialogue and realization of development and stability.
For his part the representative of the United Nations Developmental programme Abdulrahman Azizi that there is an opportunity of reconciliation in Darfur  stressing that the consultative dialogue is an opportunity for figuring out solutions and ideas and the upcoming phase will start successfully from the part by of all the international parties particularly the European Union and the Sudanese government noting that Sudan government has honored its commitments towards this operation stressing their support to UNAMID for implementing these agreements.
UAMID deputy envoy has outlined the difficulties facing consultative dialogue calling on the international community to extend more funding to guarantee success of the consultative operation in Darfur.
He affirmed UNAMID commitment to making this operation a success and supporting it.
The President of the Internal Consultative Dialogue in Darfur Sidig Wadaa  said more than 35 consultative conferences conference were held in Darfur to reach recommendations for peace in Darfur.
