Al Bashir: Hands Are Extended to All for Boosting Stability in the Country

Khartoum- President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir has issued a republican decree on extension

by the government of the ceasefire till June 30, 2018 in support of the government’s policies aiming at creating positive political climate for reaching comprehensive and durable peace in the two States of South Kordofan and Blue Nile soonest and completion of joining of the holdouts to the political process and the march of peace, rehabilitation and development in Darfur in accordance with the Doha Document.
President Al Bashir has affirmed that the government adopts dialogue as a mechanism for reaching the comprehensive and just solution, explaining that the ceasefire declaration has come to create conducive atmosphere and that hands are extended to all for realizing the aspired stability of the country.
Meanwhile, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday issued a statement on the decision by the President of the Republic to extend the ceasefire in the country
The statement said the move comes as a boost and back up for the government policy seeking to prepare a positive political environment for reaching comprehensive and lasting peace in South Kordofan and Blue Nile States and to allow for those staying away among the armed movement outside the country to join the peace and the political process, rehabilitation and development in accordance with the Doha document for peace in Darfur
The statement said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs takes this opportunity to call on those who have not joined the peace process to listen to the voice of wisdom and respond to the desire of the civilians who wish to practice their normal life after peace, security and stability have regained their region
The ministry also appealed to the International Community to boost the Sudan government efforts for achieving revival, rehabilitation and development particularly in those areas affected by the conflicts.
