(Press Release) Al Salam Rotana hosted the 3rd Philippine week with the theme "Fiesta nights, Filipino Style"!  The prestigious event was organized by Mrs. Cristina Sulaik, Marketing and Communications Manager of Al Salam Rotana Khartoum, in collaboration with the Philippine Embassy in Cairo, Egypt and Philippine Honorary Consulate in Sudan.

The General Manager of Al Salam Rotana Khartoum, Mr. Adnan Dayoub expressed his joy and gratitude about the program and looking forward to hosting more cultural weeks from different countries.

The Filipino community, as well diplomats and other expatriated witnessed the colorful opening night last April 22, 2018 with the presence of the Minister and Consul General, Mr. Jose Cabrera III from Philippine Embassy in Cairo.  A husband and wife, Mr. Suharto Sulaik and Mrs. Emma Sulaik flew all the way from Philippines to showcase their skills in preparing the best traditional Filipino cuisine, including the specialties from various regions.  As well as the 2 singers, Mr. Joseph Tupaz and Ms. Mary Ann Faith Dancel performed from a repertoire of popular Filipino music. A Muslim dance number "Malong Dance" was performed by the beautiful representatives of the Filipino community.

The event was sponsored by Qatar Airways, Bank of Khartoum, Al Roaya Media Services, Capital Radio 91.6FM and families from the Filipino Community.
