It outlined in a press release that it worked on assitaing citizens in sucking out water a matter which contributed to preventing the collapse of their houses in addition to extending humanitarian and guidance assitances to a big number of peoples of the regions extending along the River Nile waterway.
It said the efforts exerted by Sudanese Red Crescent Volunteers have reduced the damages associated with the floods noting that the volunteers remained vigilant and fully alert alongside the two banks of the River Nile in Northern State with cooperation from the people of the region and different governmental organs.
In another development President of the Sudanese Red Crescent Society, Professor Hussein Suleiman Abu Salih has received from Andalla Kheir Hamid, the General Manager of the Sudanese Al Baraka Bank a cheque to the value of one hundred thousand Sudanese pounds in favor of those affected by floods and torrential rains.
