Khartoum- Some 40 communities from the various countries of the world participated in Ramadan Iftar, organized by the Council for International Peoples Friendship (CIPF) at

the International Park in Khartoum recently.
The communities brought their national food and favorite Ramadan breakfast dishes besides the Sudanese cuisine, drawing a colorful spectacular view at the International Park in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.
CIPF Secretary General Dr. Abdul-Moneim Al-Sunni, speaking at the occasion, said the activity by the Sudanese citizens and their brothers representing 40 communities from the various countries of the world, reflects the varying customs of the peoples of the world concerning their food and favorite dishes, pointing out that Islam calls for tolerance and peaceful coexistence.
Dr. Awad Al-Jaz, presidential assistant responsible for the dossier of the relations with China, Russia and India, on his part, said the gathering reflects the tolerance and peaceful coexistence among the peoples, hailing the coming of the various communities bringing their own food to join their Sudanese brothers in Ramadan meal.
The Ambassador of Malaysia to Sudan, on his part, lauded the Council for International Peoples Friendship for organizing the activity which brought all communities in Khartoum together.
Chairman of the Portuguese-Sudanese Friendship Society, Suleiman Abdallah Suleiman, praised the gathering of the international communities in Khartoum, disclosing that some 45 service and industrial companies from Portugal intend to invest in Sudan.
Chairman of the Indian Community in Khartoum Dr. Anil Kumar, on his part, said the occasion is organized annually by the CIPF, where the various communities exchange their meals, saying that the Sudanese and Indian peoples share similar food habits.
