Finance Minister Heads to Washington to Participate in Meetings of IMF and WB

Khartoum - The Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Badr Aldin Mahmoud will leave to the American Capital city of Washington to participate in the annual meetings of

the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank which will be held in the Amercian capiatl city from 6 to October 9 /2016.
The Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising the Governor of the Central bank of Sudan, Abdularahman Hassan Abdularahman, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Finance Muna Abu Haraz along with the Sudan Foreign Debts Committee as well as a number of technicians from the Ministry of Fiance and the Central Bank of Sudan.
The meetings will discuss the performance of the inetrnational economy during the pas period and future expectations as well as the expected growth rate in addition to the growth in the overall economic indicators besides taking the required correction measures.
The Minister of Finance is to meet at the sidelines of the meetings his counterparts, the Ministers of fiance in each of the Arab, African and european countries and he will meet the creditors to revew with them the method of addressing and writing off Sudan’s foreign debts and the zero option for tackling Sudans Foreign debts between the government of Sudan and south Sudan.
He will also meet the Assitant Minister of Treasury for discussing the Sudanese-American relations, technioacal assiatnce to Sudan and the economic sanctions imposed on Sudan.
