(Bhaskar Chakravorti) The 13th Conference of Arab Association of Urology and the 5th Scientific Conference of Sudanese Urological Association was held at Friendship Hall in

Khartoum from 3-6 November 2016. The conference was inaugurated by Vice President Hassabo Mohammed Abdel Rahman and Dr.Samia Okud State Minister of Health in the presence of Urologists from the Arab world and Sudan. Apart from Sudan, Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, UAE, KSA, Qatar, Algeria, Iraq, Turkey, Syria, Libya, Palestine, Yemen there were speakers and panelists from Canada, UK, Ireland, Portugal and Romania. The President of Sudanese Urological Association Dr. Nasr A. Ramadan welcomed all the delegates and was happy to bring together international experts, regional and local institutions to discuss advances in urology and share knowledge. The topics presented and discussed were laparoscopy, uro-oncology, voiding dysfunction, endourology, reconstructive urology, female urology and infertility/ erectile dysfunction. The conference was an international collaboration with European Association of Urology (EAU), the American Urological Association (AUA) and Societe’ International d’ Urology (SIU).
