We Will not Tolerate Negligence in Medical Sector: Hassabo

Khartoum-Vice President of the Republic Hassabo Mohamed Abdul Rahman has affirmed the state’s attention to the health condition in the country, its keenness on

improving it, improving work environment for its workers as well as providing equipment and medical systems.
He said during his meeting with doctors at Al-Mak Nimir Hospital in Shendi that the budget of health sector has increased by a percentage of 400% during the past three years.  However he said despite this increase the state is aspiring for further perfection of work, developing researches in this field as well as redistributing 950 specialist doctors to the states, following up the program of free medical treatment at the level of Sudan.
He noted that 40% of the budget is allocated for medicine directing the governor of the River Nile State to offer the doctors and the assisting cadres a residential plot of land at the state along with establishing a fund for doctors and assisting cadres’ sponsorship at the state.
Hassabo affirmed that they will not tolerate any default in the medical field. He calling on the doctor to treat the doctors well and heed their conditions.
He further touched on the recent economic decisions with regards to restructuring subsidy
Meanwhile Hassabo inaugurated the project of Zakat credit for giving means of production to the vulnerable citizens to the value of 17 million Sudanese pounds from Zakat stressing in his address on this occasion the governments attention to the segment of the poor and the needy
Hassabo has inspected during his visit to the River Nile the center of tumors treatment and cancer researches which is affiliated to Shendi University.
