Port-Sudan - (SUNA) The First Vice-President of the Republic and Prime Minister, 1st Lt. Gen. Bakri Hassan Saleh, has received the recommendations of the Third Forum of the Ministers of Information and Directors of Broadcasting and TV Corporation in the States, which was hosted by Port-Sudan, the Red Sea State during April 17 - 18.
Addressing the concluding sitting of the forum, the First Vice - President has called for transferring the state reform program into policies and plans for enhancing the media sector and orienting the information message for improving the people's living conditions.
He also called for presenting a scientific information vision in the coming constitution, affirming the state's resolution to press ahead in the peace, development and reform process.
Meanwhile, the Governor of the Red Sea State, Ali Ahmed Hamid, has appreciated success of the forum calling for expanding the radio and TV transmission to cover all the outskirt localities and the mining areas in the state.
The Minister of Information, Ahmed Bilal, said that convocation of the forum affirmed the state concern with the promotion of the mass media.
