Khartoum - Dr. Abu Bakr Osman Ibrahim, Minister of Guidance and endowment addressed the international conference of Muslim Nation reality in facing challenges of religious extremism held recently in Nouakchott- Mauritania.
The minister described religious extremism as something new to the religion and believes. He denied that Islam is an extremist religion, adopted Daawa for convincing others to believe in Islam and by force or extremism. He added the cultural invasion is one of these impacts on the youths. He expressed his great pleasure that the conference will be a starting point to unifying Muslim nation to combat and get rid of the phenomenon of religious extremism. The ministry of Guidance and Endowment presented a working paper in the conference tackled Daawa strategy to combat religious extremism.
He appreciated the deep rooted relations and ties between Sudan Mauritania pointed to role of Mauritians in spreading Islamic sciences in Sudan.
