Khartoum (Khalda Elyas) - The National Committee on Combating of Human Trafficking, which is affiliated
to the Ministry of Justice, has organized a training workshop for journalists on writing of press reports on issues of human trafficking and illegal migration at Al Salam Rotana Hotel in Khartoum.
Representative of the committee Hon. Adil Shams-Eddin, addressing the inaugural session of the training workshop, explained that the workshop has been organized in collaboration with the UN Office for Drugs and Crimes in a view to enhancing capacities of the Sudanese journalists in writing on the issues of human trafficking and illegal migration to raise public awareness on the dangers posed by the phenomenon, especially among the youth category.
He pointed out that organization of the workshop comes as part of the plan of the national committee for the years 2018-2019, which focusses on the axis of public awareness.
Specialists and experts from the UN regional office in Cairo have participated in the workshop.
