Prime Minister Dr Abiy Ahmed will pay a working visit to Sudan on Wednesday and Thursday, according to the Ethiopian Ambassador in Sudan. Mulugeta Zwede.
It is the Premier’s second foreign visit since he assumed office last month. The Premier visited Djibouti last Saturday and Sunday.
During his visit, the Ethiopian Premier will hold talks with President Omar Al Bashir, on bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
The Ethiopian Premier met with President Al Bashir on the sidelines of the 7th Tana Forum held in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia last month.
Foreign Minister official, Mohamed Abdallah Idriss stated that the two leaders will discuss the bilateral cooperation on trade exchange, borders security, regional and international issues of concern.
He added that the talks represent continuation the talks of Bahir Dar, Ethiopia last month and crowing the exchanged ministerial visits between the two sides.
It is worth noting the Abiy will visit several institutions and agricultural projects.
The Sudanese/Ethiopian Business Council will meet during the visit to discuss the trade issues and the role of the private sector in this regard.
Idriss said that the Sudanese/Ethiopian relations continued improving during the recent years for the benefit of the people of the two countries in achieving security, stability and development.
