Khartoum - The Turkish Ambassador to Sudan Dr Irfan Veziroglu, has reaffirmed the strong relations linking his country and Sudan in all fields, especially in the political, economic, social and cultural fields, stressing the importance of consolidating these relations further.
The Ambassador made the comments to Sudan Vision and Al Intibaha newspapers, after the return of two of their journalists from Turkey, where they participated in a training workshop on energy journalism.
Ambassador Veziroglu affirmed keenness of Turkey on cooperation with the Sudanese people and government, referring to establishment of strong working relations with the Ministry of Minerals in the field of geological research.
Director of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) in Sudan Jalal-Eddin Mohamed, on his part, pointed out that TIKA has important projects in Sudan, noting that the project of rehabilitation of antiquities in Sawakin is progressing well besides cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and Wildlife.
The two journalists, on their part, presented a briefing on their visit to Turkey and the outcome of the training workshop they attended there.
