Speaking about a United Islamic Nations is a dream topic many visionaries have addressed many times afore
, bearing in mind that most of the obstacles hindering that longed for unity is –factually- non-exist. God has always directed us to trust on Him. So for start let us hope for the accomplishment of the minimum, let us at least TRUST GOD, and consequently unite efforts to prevent penetration.
Muslims, God - in His Divine Wisdom- has revealed to them a (Road Map) to follow and guidance in all walks of life, as the revelations in Surat Al-Imran -3, verse 102-103-104-105:
O’ you who believe, fear God (by doing all that is He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared (obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always) and do not die except (you are) in state of Islam (as a Muslim) (with complete submission to God).
O’ you who believe, fear God (by doing all that is He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared (obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always) and do not die except (you are) in state of Islam (as a Muslim) (with complete submission to God). |
And hold fast –all of you together- by the Rope which God (has stretches out for you) and be not divided (Unite) among yourselves; and remember with gratitude God’s favors on you, for you were enemies and He joined your hearts in love, so that by His Grace you became brethren; and you were on the brink of the pit of fire, and He saved you from it. Thus God make His Signs clear to you that you may be guided. |
And let there arise -out of you- a band of people inviting to all that is god, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong; they are the ones to attain felicity. |
And do not be like those who divided amongst themselves and fall into disputations, after receiving Clear Signs. It is for them is a dreadful penalty/an awful torment. |
In The Name of God Most Gracious Most Merciful |
And make ready against them (all) your strength to utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of God and your enemies, and others besides, whom you may not know, (but) whom God does know. And whatever you spend in the Cause of God shall be repaid to you, and you shall not be treated unjustly. |
But if the enemy inclines towards peace, you do also incline towards peace, and put your trust in God, for He is All-Hearer, All-Knower. |
But should they intend to deceive you, verily, God is All-Sufficient for you. He is Who that has strengthened you with His aid and with (the company of) the believers. |
And (moreover- the believers) He has put affection between their hearts (united them). If you have spent all that in the earth you could not have united their hearts/produced that affection, but God has united them. Certainly He is All-Mighty, All-Wise. |
O’ Prophet (Muhammad PPBUH) God is Sufficient for you and for the believers who follow you. |
O’ Prophet (Muhammad PPBUH) rouse/urge the believers to the fight. If there are twenty steadfast /patient and preserved amongst you, they will vanquish two hundred; and if a hundred of you (steadfast persons), they will vanquish a thousand of the unbelievers, for those are people (the unbelievers) without understanding. |
In The Name of God Most Gracious Most Merciful |
Alif, Lam, Meem. (These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur’an, and none but God (Alone) knows their meanings). |
The Romans (Roman Empire) has been defeated. |
In a land close by (nearest= Syria, Iraq, Jordan, and Palestine), and they after this defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious. |
Within a few years (three to nine years), the decision of the matter –before (past) and after (future) - is only with God. And on that Day the believers shall rejoice. |
With the help of God, He helps whom He Wills, and He is the Exalted-in-Might/All-Might, Most Merciful. |
(It is) the Promise of God, never does God depart/ fail His promise. But most of men don’t understand/don’t know. |
They know only the outer/exterior (appearing things) in life of this world, but for the End/the Hereafter, they are heedless. |
Do they not think deeply (in their own selves)/ reflect in their own minds about themselves? That God Created the heavens and earth, and all between them except by truth and an appointed term; yet there are truly many among men who deny the meeting with their Lord (at the Resurrection-Day). |
Do they not travel in the land/through the earth and see what the end of those who were before them was? They were superior to them in strength; they tilled the soil and populated it in greater numbers than these (pagans) have done; and there came to them their apostles with clear Signs /proofs (which they rejected, to their own destruction). It was not God who wronged them, but they have wronged themselves. |
Then, in the long run, evil in the extreme was the end of those who did evil; because they denied/ rejected the Signs of God, and held them up to ridicule/made a mockery of them. |
(Verse 102) Our whole being should be permeated with Islam; it is not a mere veneer or outward show. (Verse 103)[A] The simile is that of people struggling in deep water, to whom a benevolent providence stretches out a strong and unbreakable rope of rescue. If all holds fast to it together, their mutual support adds to the chance of their safety. [B] Yathrib was torn with civil and tribal feuds and dissensions before the Apostle of God (PPBUH) set his sacred feet on its soil. After that, it became the City of the Prophet (PPBUH) –Al-Medina- an unmatched Brotherhood, and a pivot of Islam. This poor quarrelsome world is a larger Yathrib: can we establish the sacred feet on its soil, and make it a new and larger Medina? (Verse 104-105) The ideal Muslim community is happy, untroubled by conflicts or doubts, sure of itself, strong, united, and prosperous; because it invites to all that is good; enjoins the right; and forbids the wrong.
And here is a special glance given to the scale of power the Muslims should attain to safeguard their ideal community, as the revelations in Surat Al-Anfal -8 verses 60-61-62-63-64-65:-
It says that:-
(Verse 60) [A] In every fight, physical, moral, or spiritual, arm yourself with the best weapons and best arms against your enemy, so as to instill wholesome respect into him for you and the Cause you stand for. [B] There are always lurking enemies whom you may not know, but whom God Knows. It is your duty to be ready against all, for the Sacred Cause under whose banner you are fighting. [C] Be always ready and put all your resources into your Cause. You do not do so in vain. God’s reward will come in various forms. He knows all, and His reward will always be more generous than you can possibly deserve.
(Verse 61) While we must always be ready for the good fight lest it be forced on us, even in the midst of the fight, we must always be ready for peace if there are any inclinations towards peace on the other side. There is no merit merely in a fight by itself. It should be a joyful duty for itself, but to establish the reign of peace and righteousness and God’s Law.
(Verses 62-65) [A] In working for peace there may be a certain risk of treachery on the other side. We must take that risk, because the man of God has God’s aid to count upon and the strength of the united body of the righteous. [B] No man of heart, spirit, or constancy can ever be cowed down by odds against him. We fight not for spoils or captives, but for the glory of God, and for the Truth and Faith. We must be kind to all, but specially regard the need of our comrades linked to us by ties of duty and affection. Our highest reward will be forgiveness and grace from the Giver of all.
As what been said in the preface of this article, looking back is the way to redress future, in this respect let go back to the:
First Contact of Islam with World Movements:
The prophecy of the Holy Qur’an on the rise and fall of the two great Empires (Rome and Persia)as are revealed in verses 1- 9 from Surat Al-Rum 30. with introduction and commentary:
It says that:-
The chronology of this Sura is significant. It was revealed about the 6th or the 7th year before Hijra, corresponding to 615-16 of the Christian era, when the tide of the Persian conquest over the Roman Empire was running strong, as explained in this study. The Christian Empire of Rome had lost Jerusalem to the Persians, and Christianity had been humbled in the dust. At that time it seemed outside the bounds of human possibility, even to one intimately acquainted with the inner resources and conditions of the Persian and Roman armies and empires, that the tables would be turned and the position reversed within the space of eight or nine years. The pro-Persian Pagan Quraish rejoiced exceedingly, and redoubled their taunts and persecution against the Holy Prophet, whose Message was a renewal of the Message of Christ preached in Jerusalem. Then was this passage (verses 1-6) revealed, clearly foreshadowing the final defeat of Persia. There is no doubt about the prophecy and its fulfillment. For the exulting Pagans of Mecca, they laid a heavy wager against the fulfillment of the prophecy with Abu-Bakr Al-Siddig, and they lost it on its fulfillment.
But the rise and fall even of such mighty empires as the Persian and Roman Empires, were but small events on the checker-board of Time, compared to a mightier movement that was taking birth in the promulgation of Islam. In the 6th or the 7th year before the Hijrat, and for a year or two after the Hijra, Islam was struggling in the world, like the still small voice in the conscience of humanity. It was scarcely heeded, and when it sought to insist upon its divine claim, it was insulted, assaulted, persecuted, boycotted, and –as it seemed- suppressed. The agony of Al-Taif (Two years before Hijra) and the murder-plot on the eve of the Hijra were yet to come. But the purpose of God is not to be thwarted. Badr (2 A.H. = 624 A.D.), rightly called the critical Day of Decision, began to redress the balance of outward events in early Islam, in the same year in which Issus began to redress the balance of outward events in Perso-Roman relations. Mightier events were yet to come. A new inner world was being created through Islam. This spiritual Revolution was of infinitely greater moment in world-history.
