African Council for Distance Education (ACDE) 5th Conference to Convene Tuesday

Khartoum –Preparations are completed for the starting of African Council for Distance Education (ACDE) 5th conference to kick in Sudan on 7th -8th March 2017 at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The conference theme is Open and Distance Learning (ODL) in Africa in the Digital Era.
Its objectives are to bring together academics, researchers, administrators, mangers and students to discuss and share their experience and research findings on the impact of the ODL across Africa, besides fostering ODL networks with colleagues across the continent .To enhance research in Africa.
The conference will organize in coordination with Al Neelin University.  120 participants from abroad are expected to take part in addition to 250 participants from Sudan.
Other sub-themes will be discussed and tackled during the 5th conference including  the impact of ODL application in Africa;  embracing online technologies OF OERs and MOOCs, capacity building and research in ODL, policy development and management for effective  education .Implementation of ODL, quality  issues in ODL,  ODL in peace-building and conflict resolution.
The 5th conference of ADCE will highlight the impact of the ODL in the community, developments in ODL best practices, research, capacity building, and technology enhanced learning, MOOCs and OERs and quality assurance.
