Al Bashir Attends Conclusion of Joint Gulf Shield Military Drill

Khartoum - President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir has attended the conclusion of Joint Gulf Shield-1 military drill  in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia besides a number of heads of state and governments of Arab and Islamic countries at the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.
A unit of the Sudanese Special Forces participated in the military exercise that lasted for a month and the military parade besides military units and equipment from the participating countries.
The Joint Gulf Shield-1 military drill aimed at boosting cooperation and coordination among the armed forces, combating terrorism and maintaining peace and stability in the area besides showing of force of the troops through their training and boosting their combat capabilities that make them ready to repulse any aggression on the countries of the region.
It is worth noting that Defense Minister 1st Lt. Gen. Awad Ibn Auf, Chief of Joint Staffs Gen. Kamal Abul-Maroof and a number of commanders of the Sudanese Armed Forces attended the conclusion of the military drill besides commanders of the armed forces from the countries participating in the Joint Gulf Shield-1 military exercise.
