Sudan Vision and Global Times to Launch Partnership

Khartoum – (Muawad Rashid- Mohamed Abdalla) Two of Global Times English edition which ranks the second in Beijing that publishes in English has visited Sudan Vision

Editor Song Shengxia of Global Times accompanied by photographer Li Hao who were in an official visit to Sudan discussed with Sudan Vision staff several issues on top of which is the relations between Khartoum and Beijing.
In this regard SV Managing Editor told the visiting journalists that the Sudanese government and people admire the support of China during the oil production boom in Sudan which enabled the country to become an oil exporting country.
He told the visiting delegation that the Sudanese government decided recently to assign its former Minter of Oil, Dr. Awad Al-Jaz to be the Official for promoting the Sudanese/Chinese relation in an endeavour to benefit from the Chinese expertise and advanced technology in utilizing the Sudanese potentials to the maximum.
On the stability in Darfur the visiting delegation were told about the UNAMID exit plan and its handing over its check points and machinery to the Sudanese authorities after the apparent stability in the region.
On press freedoms the visiting delegation were confirmed that there are no restrictions on writing opinion articles even if it criticizes the officials or institutions’ performance as long as it distance itself from the issues related to national security of sovereignty of the country.
Sudan Vision and Global Times representative agree in principle to enter into partnership through exchanging news and opinion articles, considering the benefits of such partnership to both institutions.
 “Sudan is safe” said Chinese journalists who described Sudanese people as “friendly”.  Their impression on Sudan is good; they visited some media institutions and industrial companies.
The Chinese journalist assured that Global times cioncentrates on covering political developments as well as business events within the country and at regional and international levels.
