Khartoum-Minister of Environment, Natural Resources and Physical Development, Dr. Hassan Abdulgadir Hilal has met Mr. Andrea Cavchotta the Blarusian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment.
The meeting has reviewed different environmental issues in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry Dr. Omer Mustafa.
Dr. Hassan Hilal said the meeting has discussed different environmental issues as well as the problems and obstacles obstructing environmental work in Sudan
He further elaborated that the meeting discussed a package of projects and proposals presented by the Belarusian Minister of Natural Resources and Environment for financing them.
The said projects are represented in the projects of combating drought and desertification , estabishing trees belts  as well as education  missions for raising   the capacities of the staff working in the environemntal and meteorological field, water contamination, technology transfere , sewage via designing networks, recycling and processing waste , biomass diversity , renewable energies , monitoring the moves of marine environment , averting disasters  as well as climate change projects  via adaptation and mitigation.
Hilal praised the assistances presented by the government of Belarusia to Sudan in the environmental sphere for preserving the environment stressing that his ministry has a clear vision for addressing environmental issues.
For his part the Belarusian Minister of Environment has affirmed that his government is keen on supporting Sudan  especvially in  environmental sphere via funding many environmental projects  in implementation of the recently concluded agreements between the Presidents of the  two countries.
