Khartoum - The Secretary General of the National Council for Child Welfare (NCCW), Suad Abdelaal, said that the efforts have been exerted to prepare a training manual for
children and adolescents who live in emergency situations and to support them on life skills so as to protect their all rights.
Abdelaal said yesterday in the inauguration of the training manual for children and adolescents in emergencies, this manual provides psychosocial support and child friendly spaces especially for the children who were captured by armed movements in conflict areas
This training manual has greatly helped to provide psychological and social support and enhanced life skills in its various aspects, she said.
" I thank UNICEF for the technical and financial support that has contributed to systematic programme interventions focused on young people, and to the technical committees that have contributed to the preparation, follow-up and revision of the report".
The aim of the training manual is to develop the methods of young children to with life-changing emergencies and to develop their abilities to solve their life problems and build their capacities for social interaction and communication with others, Abdulaal added .
Dr. Tahani Mubashar from Protection Unit , UNICEF ,said that this manual is very distinguished because it is collaborative work with the children's partners to address all issues with the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Social Affairs, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Child Protection Units
