Khartoum - (SMC) The Ministry of Petroleum has announced its intention to establish new depots for increasing the storage capacity of fuel in Port Sudan and Khartoum as it has disclosed that the six oil tankers which are currently present at Port Sudan harbor have started their downloading process.
State Minister at the Ministry of Petroleum Eng. Saad-Eddin Al-Bushara said in a statement to SMC that some of the states have solved the problem of fuel shortage by adoption of a number of measures, affirming the possibility of solving the problem through a number of means including controlling work at service stations in the states, explaining that the crisis is on its way for ending through adoption of quick solutions.
The State Minister affirmed that there is no any problem in the maintenance operation of the refinery as it is a regular and programed process, explaining that the ministry is trying to reduce the time of the operation, which is scheduled for two months.
