President Appoints Masaad Mohamed Ahmed as CBOS Deputy Governor

Khartoum - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir issued, yesterday, a decree appointing Masaad Mohamed Ahmed as first deputy governor of the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) and exempting Badruddin Qurashi, who was the first deputy governor.
 Masaad was the President of the Union of Sudanese Banks and Head of the Economic Sector of the National Congress Party (NCP).
The decisions of the Presidency of the Republic comes within the framework of recent measures to correct the economic course in the country and control the price of the dollar after the President of the Republic assumes the chairmanship of the new policy committee in dealing with the exchange rate and absorption of liquidity. The Committee, which has started its meeting since last year 2017, includes FVP, National Premier, Minister of Finance, Director of the National Security and Intelligence Service (NISS, Minister of Trade and CBOS Governor.
