Khartoum – Minister of Defence, 1st. Lt. Gen. Awad Mohammed Ahmed Ibn Ouf described the relations between Sudan and Egypt as strategic.
He emphasized, while receiving yesterday the Egyptian Intelligence Director, Maj. Gen. Abbas Mustafa Kamil in the presence of NISS Director, 1st. Lt. Gen. Salah Abdallah Mohammed Salih, the importance of contacts between the security institutions in the two countries.
Ibn Auf urged the formation of a bloc to protect the regional security to confront the threats and challenges hindering the stability in the area.
He pointed out to the importance of coordination and exchanging of information to protect the borders.
For his part, Egyptian Intelligence Director, Maj. Gen. Abbas Mustafa Kamil said that confronting the challenges requires rapid response to avoid the obstacles that might lead to tensions.
