AU Deports of 14 Thousand Migrants to Their Countries, Closes 18 Centres

Khartoum - African Union's Commissioner for Social Affairs, Head of the working group and special envoy of the African Union Commission chief to Libya, Amira Al-Fadil said

that the joint mechanism on addressing issues of illegal migrants  in Libya will end its work at the end of next May.
She told Sudan Vision that the  joint mechanism of  African Union-European Union held  meeting in Addis Ababa on Monday, where it discuses efforts to tackle illegal immigration,, adding that the mechanism succeeded in deporting 14,000 migrants to their countries and about 2,000 refugees to third country, in cooperation with the African Union, the International Organization for Migration and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and that  the mechanism succeeded in closing 18 centers for illegal immigration in cooperation with the Libyan government.
