Khartoum - The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) will convene the FAO Regional Conference for Africa from 19 to 23 Feb.2018 in Khartoum. 
The Conference will bring the 54 Ministers of Agriculture across the continent and senior government Officials to discuss and agree on strategies for advancing Agriculture production and productivity in Africa. The Director General of FAO, Deputy Director General and Assistant Directors general together with Africa Regional Coordinators of FAO Programmes are also expected to be in Khartoum for the Conference. Ministerial Panel discussion on Attainment of Zero hunger in Africa is also scheduled to take place during the conference. A briefing session for Diplomats resident in Khartoum is being planned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today 30 January 2018.
