Khartoum - The Chief of Joint Staff, Lt. Gen. Imad-Eddin Mustafa Adawi, received in his office Monday morning the American Military Attache to Sudan, Col. Jorn Pong, on the occasion of the expiry of his assignment to Sudan.
The meeting was attended by the US Charge d' Affaires to Khartoum Steven Koutsis.
The Chief of Joint Staff has affirmed the keenness of Sudan to enhance its cooperation with the United States and appreciated the efforts of the US Military Attaché during his office term in Sudan and his contribution to strengthening the bilateral relations, especially in the dialogue between the two countries.
The Chief of Joint Staff has awarded the Order of Merit to the American Military Attaché in recognition of his efforts and role in pushing ahead the relations between Sudan and the United States.
