Khartoum - Minister of Water Resources, Irrigation and Electricity Mutaz Musa Abdalla said the Russian government has shown a clear desire in entering into an economic relation with Sudan and establishing a balanced and promising relation between the two countries based on strategic partnership.
Speaking to the program of "another dialogue” cast by Blue Nile channel Sunday evening Mutaz said the Visit of the President of the Republic Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir and the accompanying delegation had a clear and open agenda.
He said there is no justification for being disturbed by this visit because it aims at establishing a relation that would realize for the country its aspirations and it does no harm on other countries
He further announced that the joint committee between the two countries is to hold meetings next month to discuss setting out in implementation of the eight agreements recently signed between the two countries including the establishment of a nuclear plant for peaceful purposes.
Musa further affirmed the existence of a shortfall in electricity production noting that some 3300 megawatt were availed from different sources of energy operating in the country noting that the government is going ahead with implementing its plan of the year 2001-2031 aiming for availing multiple and diversifies energy sources.
