Presidency Directs Facilitation of Procedures for Development of Animal Resources

Khartoum - The Presidency has stressed the importance of benefitting from the private sector and facilitating procedures for it for developing the animal resources sector and

increasing its exports.
Presidential Assistant Dr. Faisal Hassan Ibrahim has affirmed that the animal resources sector contributes to food security and job opportunities besides the national income which exceeds 50%.
The Presidential Assistant, addressing the Sudanese Veterinarians Association’s conference in Gedarif yesterday, said the animal resources sector avails a big opportunity for elimination of poverty, stressing the importance of giving concern to the herders and producers.
He affirmed importance of training and qualification for veterinary doctors, praising the development Gedarif State is witnessing in the agricultural field.
Governor of Gedarif State Engineer Mirghani Salih Sidahmed, on his part, lauded the role being assumed by the Veterinarians Association in developing the profession, affirming that Gedarif State holds top position in animal resources’ export as it is also the grains silo of the Sudan.
Minister of Animal Resources Bushara Jumaa Aror, on his part, praised the role of the veterinary doctor in Sudan in development of the animal resources.
