Cooperation between Sudan and German Siemens Company in Railways Discussed

Khartoum-The Ministry of Transport, Roads and Bridges has discussed with the German Siemens Company aspects of joint cooperation between the Sudanese Railways

Corporation and the German Company.
This came when Minister of Transport, Roads and Bridges Engineer Makkawi Mohamed Awad met a visiting delegation of German Siemens Company in the presence of Director General of the Sudanese Railways Corporation Engineer Ibrahim Fadul.
The Minister welcomed German investments in all fields, especially the fields of railways, roads, bridges and sea and air transport.
Engineer Makkawi briefed the delegation on the importance of the strategic location of Sudan in Africa, pointing out that the Ministry endeavors to link Sudan with each of Chad, Central Africa Republic and Ethiopia through railways, welcoming resumption of relations of cooperation between Siemens Company and Sudan and pledging to extend facilities to German investments in the country.
