Environment Ministry Praises JICA's Efforts in Sudan

Khartoum - Undersecretary of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources, Dr. Omer Mustafa praised the role of JICA in improving cleanliness services and waste management, stressing his ministry's keenness to work on the sustainability of these projects.
 Receiving at his office the former and new directors of JICA, the Sudanese official expressed his thanks and appreciation to the JICA former director for his active contributions and efforts that were reflected positively in the promotion and preservation of the environment, reiterating his ministry's determination to cooperate with the new director to complete the march.
For his part, JICA former director expressed his pride in the time spent in Sudan, praising the sincere cooperation of the Ministry of Environment, while the new director expressed great happiness with of what he found of a genuine desire to strengthen previous efforts.
The meeting insured to maximize the benefits of environmental projects between the ministry and the JICA through the provision of mutual grants and experiences between the two sides, in addition to cooperation with the surrounding region, especially that Sudan is one of the training centers of some neighboring countries.
