Abboud: Release of Detainees is Call for Tolerance and Accord for Interest of Homeland

Khartoum - (smc) The Council of National Unity Parties has called on the opposition forces to work for boosting the national accord, describing the release of the political detainees by the National Intelligence and Security Service as a call for tolerance and accord for the interest of the state of the homeland.
The Secretary General of the Council, Abboud Jabir Saeed, said in a statement to SMC that the state is making steady steps according to specific schedule for the current stage and future, explaining that these steps are linked to the big national project “ the National Dialogue and its outcome”, which has determined the path, objectives and the means.
He added that for this reason they don’t see any convincing reason for demonstrations or any other negative call in this connection.
Jabir called for pressing ahead with boosting solidarity among all national forces to enable the mechanism of National Dialogue to put the recommendations pertinent to living conditions of the people into concrete reality.
Meanwhile, Justice and Equality Movement led by Bakheit Dabajo, has commended the release of the political detainees, saying that the step is a message to the opposition to reconsider its position.
The official spokesman of the movement, Ahmed Abdel-Mageed, said in a statement to SMC that the release of the political detainees came in the context of boosting the outcome of the National Dialogue and enhancing the freedom of expression in accordance with the provisions of the constitution, affirming that the step would strengthen confidence between the government and the political parties.
The release of the detainees had dealt a strong blow to the rumor mongers, he noted.
The former coordinator of operations at the Justice and Equality Movement, Hamid Hajar, described the release of the political detainees as a good step to boost confidence between the government and the political forces.
