UNIDO Pledges Support to Animal Resources Ministry

Khartoum - The State Minister at the Ministry of Animal Resources, Dr. Jalal-Eddin Rabih has met at the ministry’s premises

here Country Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Dr. Mohamed Abdelmomen and discussed horizons of cooperation between UNIDO and the ministry for development of fish resources sector in Red Sea State.
The State Minister affirmed that fishery is a promising sector for boosting the national economy as well as providing job opportunities for the youth.
The UNIDO Country Representative, on his part, lauded the smart partnership linking the organization and the ministry, promising support to the ministry’s project, noting that the country has vast fish resources that would contribute to supporting the national economy and food security.
In another development, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Animal Resources Dr. Kamal Tajal-Sir has received at his office a visiting delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where he praised the distinguished relations linking Sudan and the Kingdom in the various fields.
The Undersecretary pointed out that Saudi Arabia has affirmed its desire for importing meat, affirming that the Sudanese animal resources enjoy good reputation for depending on natural pastures.
