Finance Minister Announces His Resignation

(SMC) Minister of Finance Badr Al-Deen Mahamoud announced his resignation from inside parliament following a heated debate over the 2017/18 annual budget.
However the minister said his resignation has nothing to do with budget debates in the parliament. He explains he had been contemplating his resignation to pave the way for others to take over the responsibility.
The MPs on Wednesday included house speaker Ibrahim Ahmed Omar who directly engaged in heated debates against the minister criticizing his argument on the standard of living.
House speaker and MPs told the minister very clearly that his statement on incentives and other remunerations have no positive result on higher living conditions.
