Abyei – (smc) Abyei Joint Oversight Committee (AJOC) announced that it is intending to organize a workshop for the local administration in the area to prepare them for
the participation in the joint meeting with S. Sudan side in Addis Ababa by the end of this month.
AJOC Chief, Eng. Hassan Ali Nimir told (smc) that the committee is waiting for the formation of the executive committees, the police, the legislative council of Abyei, adding that the committee will set its agendas for the upcoming meeting after receiving the confirmation from the AU on the date of the meetings.
Meanwhile, Nimir said that the local administration of Missiriya and Dinka Ngok will held a meeting aiming at strengthening the relations among the components of the area, hoping that the meeting will lead to resolving the outstanding issues, emphasizing the importance of UN mission in Abyei in preserving peace and security.
