Khartoum - (SUNA) The First Vice-President and National Prime Minister, General, Bakri Hassan Saleh was briefed on the performance of the National Council for Press and Publications

during the past period and its future programmes.
This came when General, Saleh met, Tuesday, at his office, a delegation of the council headed by Fadallah Mohammed in the presence of Information, Dr. Ahmed Bilal .
Dr. Bilal said in press statements that the meeting stressed the necessity for reaching agreement on the Press and Publications Act prior to returning it to the Council of Ministers, referring to the great support extended by the state to the press.
He said the council has invited the FVP to attend the ceremony of distribution of Journalism Award.
