Khartoum – (smc) Abyei Joint Oversight Committee (AJOC) affirmed that it started a tour on the area to follow up the conferences aiming at the formation of more than 30 popular committees.
Meanwhile, AJOC affirmed that stability in security and humanitarian situations in Abyei.
AJOC Executive Director, Dr. Saluma Yahya Musa stated to (SMC) that the tour was under the chairman of AJOC president Hassan Ali Nimir.
Musa affirmed that the purpose of the formation of the popular committees is to cope with the state institutions and assist in preserving security in Abyei along with enhancing the activities of youth, students and women.
