President Directs Concerned Authorities to Break up Monopoly of Goods

Khartoum-President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir has directed the concerned authorities to break up monopoly of goods, make control of over prices and day-

to-day monitoring of markets to guarantee people access to basic goods easily.
He also directed while he was chairing the fifth meeting on exchange rate control in the Republican palace, Monday , the Ministries of Trade and Industry to coordinate with other concerned organs and factories, especially the state-owned factories to set up direct sell windows at factory prices to lessen burdens of living for the people.
Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, Mohamed Al-Rikabi said in press statements that the meeting issued a host of decisions dealing with management of the Country resources, fighting gold smuggling, increase purchases of Central Bank of Sudan (CBOF) from raw gold , and expanding the gold refinery to face the rising production of gold.
He added the meeting discussed how to make economic stability and assured of implementation of decisions of previous meeting as well as measures taken to attract investments.
Minister of Trade, Hatim Al-Sir, for his part, said the fifth meeting on Exchange rate control reaffirmed importance of reactivation of tourism in the Country and t6hat the President of the Republic gave directive for easing procedures set for obtaining visas for tourists from Sudanese embassies abroad as well as free movement for tourists without restriction , conditions or taking permission to visit the tourism areas.
He added the President also gave directive to make promotion for Sudan's tourism potentialities abroad.
