Khartoum - Commissioner of the Darfur Land Commission, Mohammed Saleh Menqo blamed the Central Bank of Sudan (CBOS) for the failure of lands use project, saying that the main challenge is the lack of commitment by the bank to pay the amounts set for the project.
He said, in statement to Sudan Vision, that the Ministry of Finance had committed itself, in accordance with the directives of the Presidency, adding that the land conference is one of the activities of the Darfur development strategy, funded by donors through the United Nations organizations, calling for the revision of the land law in Darfur, especially after the great stability in Darfur and the voluntary return.
He said that Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD) has made great strides, due to the efforts of the State and United Nations agencies and the support of the State of Qatar through donors in accordance with the Darfur strategy, noting that the issue of land is an important issue in Darfur.
