Presidential Decree Appointing Salah Abdallah as NISS Chief

Khartoum - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al Bashir issued a decree on Sunday appointing Lt. Gen.  (Engineer), Salah Abdallah (Gosh)

, as Director of the National Intelligence and Security and Service (NISS), replacing Lt. Gen. (Engineer),  Mohamed Atta Al-Mawla Abbas.
NISS was established in 2004 through the unification of the national security service, which was entrusted with the internal security and the Sudanese intelligence, which was charged with external security, in one body under the management of one director under the name of "NISS”.
Lt. Gen. (Engineer), Salah Abdallah Gosh had served as head of the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) between 2004 and 2009, has been reinstated, replacing Mohammed Atta Al-Mawla, who had served in the position since 2009.
