Nile Crossing Festival Painting Portrays Sudan as Country of Peace and Tolerance

Khartoum - (Khalda Elyas ) The Festival of Nile Crossing has kicked off on Saturday in its third version.

The festival is organized by the Dutch government and the Sudanese Marine Scout Society with the participation of fifteen foreign embassies representing their countries in addition to the Dutch embassy under the sponsorship of Mirouj Company.
Minister of Youths and Sport of Khartoum State Alyassaa Sidig  has affirmed that Sudan is the land of peace and tolerance as the Sudan has reflected through embracing the festival the tolerance and heritage of the people of Sudan.
He noted that the big participation in the festival represents the real diplomacy expressing gratitude to the Dutch Embassy for its intuitive for combating drowning considering it as the lead of activities of communities.
Meanwhile the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Khartoum, Ms. Karvin  Buvine has affirmed the big attention Netherland accord to tourism highlighting the rise of the rate of death by drowning which reaches 200 thousands persons per year adding that the Netherland is a land surrounded with water a matter that makes it imperative to learn swimming.
