Khartoum (SMC) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced arrangements between Khartoum and Juba on signing an agreement called “zero equation”
on how to settle the issue of debts stressing that the issue of debts is governed by state and ethical commitments.
Ambassador Abdulghani Al-Naiem told SMC the Under-secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the South is working with Sudan towards for solving the said issue saying that “we have the right to say it is time to share these debts with our brothers in the south”. However he noted that they are well aware of the conditions in South Sudan at the time being.
Al-Naiem expressed optimism of solving the issue of debts noting that they are awaiting the signing of the zero equation till this agreement is renewed for another two years for setting up a clear vision that enables the two countries to resolve this issue.
