Khartoum - The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Al-Dirdiri Mohamed Ahmed, participates in the meeting of the advisory ministerial committee on the reform of the institutions of the African Union (AU).
The Minister of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement from the Ethiopian capital of Addis Ababa yesterday that he met on the sidelines of the AU meeting with his Ethiopian and Egyptian counterparts in a tripartite meeting in Addis Ababa in a view to removing some difficulties pertinent to implementation of the framework agreement as the meeting also tackled issues of common concern.
The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samih Shukri, said on Friday that his country works to build confidence with Sudan and Ethiopia on an issue that is linked with the future of the peoples of the three countries, the Nile River, besides a number of issues, especially pertinent to the dossier of the Renaissance Dam.
Shukri explained in a press statement to the Egyptian TV that Cairo works on how the issue would be managed following the signing of the declaration of principles agreement in Khartoum, referring to importance of agreement on the technical track in accordance with specific timetable.
