Khartoum – Minister of Social Welfare Mashair Al-Dawalab has stressed that her ministry has continuous programs for supporting the youth sector, lauding the pioneering role
being played by the Sudanese National Youth Union (SNYU) for realizing the aspirations of the youth.
This came when the minister chaired a plenary meeting of the partners of SNYU in the Youth Project for National Building, which targets increasing production and productivity to realize food security especially that the current economic policies aim to curb unemployment among the youth sector in the country.
SNYU Chairman Dr. Shoghar Bashar, on his part, pointed out that the project will be launched in Khartoum State next December and will be extended to cover all other states early next year.
He explained that the Youth Project for National Building comprises a number of components including increasing production and productivity and realizing food security besides the economy of Knowledge and other projects.
Dr. Shoghar hailed the support being extended by the Ministry of Social Welfare besides the partners to all the programs of SNYU that focus on youth development.
Participants in the meeting called for activating the partnerships to contribute to realization of the aspirations of the youth in all states of the Sudan as they represent the future of Sudan.
